China claims Tibet has 'ALWAYS' been a part of China But Did you know:
1. China claims Tibet has been a part of China since the Yuan Dynasty. The Yuan Dynasty was when Mongolia* took over China. That's like saying Vietnam is part of Quebec because both were taken over by France!
2. The Chinese New Year celebrates the date that Genghis Khan took over China. (HA!!!!)
3. Tibet had its own government, currency and postal systems that was Internationally recognized. There's even a Tibetan PASSPORT with VISAS from Seven Countries!!!!
4. Tibet was recognized Internationally as an Independent Nation until China forcibly occupied it in 1959.
5. Tibet has its own Language, Culture and Religion which are being systematically destroyed by China.
If Tibet has been a part of China since the Yuan Dynasty then China has been part of Mongolia since the Yuan Dynasty!!!

China pre-emptively invaded Tibet and brutally subjugated the Tibetans. The Chinese ransacked monasteries, persecuted and killed Tibetans, and destroyed untold volumes of Buddhist literature, sacred scriptures and religious objects, with the intent of destroying the ancient Tibetan culture and religion.
Having failed at this, they now plan to overwhelm the native society with Han immigrants, effectively perpetuating the servile status of the Tibetans.
The Tibetans did not ask for this "liberation," as the Chinese insist on calling it, and they were quite content with their form of religion and government, backward as it may have been by Western standards.
Tibet is now in a state of permanent occupation by the Chinese. They seek to dominate all aspects of Tibetan life and turn this country into a Chinese colony and exploit the natural resources that Tibet has to offer.

Sep. 1951 China's PLA forcefully marched into Lhasa, the capital of TIBET. After the military invasion of Tibet had started and the small Tibetan army was defeated, the PRC imposed a treaty on the Tibetan Government under the terms of which Tibet was declared to be a part of China, albeit enjoying a large degree of autonomy. In the White Paper, China claims this treaty was entered into entirely voluntarily by the Tibetan Government, and that the Dalai Lama, his Government and the Tibetan people as a whole welcomed it.
Contrary to China's claim in its White Paper, the Dalai Lama and the Tibetan Government did not act voluntarily in signing the "Agreement". In fact, Mao Zedong himself, in the Directive of Central Committee of CPC on the Policies for our Work in Tibet, issued on 6 April 1952, admitted: "Not only the two Silons (i.e., prime ministers) but also the Dalai and most of his clique were reluctant to accept the Agreement and are unwilling to carry it out. ... As yet we do not have a material base for fully implementing the agreement, nor do we have a base for this purpose in terms of support among the masses or in the upper stratum. [Selected Works of Mao Tsetung, Vol. 5, Foreign Language Press, Peking, 1977, p.75.]"
