I think the poor sound could be down to video settings during the upload to youtube. That awful phase swap sound is on the dialogue too. Don't blame the tech!!

Ah, sorry, I referring to mixing 602s with 2002s. My mistake. I'm a hi hat mix and match addict I have seen a lot of 2002 (B8) cymbals paired up with (B20) 602s. One metal is harder than the other, therefore one will cause wear. The wear rate won't be noticeable but it will happen over time. Due to the consistency of Paiste alloy, mixing up any generation of same series cymbals will not be a problem. I use a pair of pre serial 602s with a later SE 602 bottom. Sounds amazing

I agree with you. I have used all new std bushes but have poly bushes on the anti roll bar. Together with new shocks it has really changed the turn in and roll.

I use these on my 60s Ludwig. They are ok but seem to lack something when used on a snare drum. The texture is perfect for brush work

I think today's music depends on cut and paste technology. They used tape recorders and a higher level of musicianship and came up with this. We are going backwards at an alarming rate

I have been offered one of these ludwig kits in 12 14ft and 18ft in the same finish and badge. Very nice drums indeed but not a singy as my 65 downbeat. Perhaps it was the heads. Are these marketed as pro drums?
