I've been playing Blizzard games for over 10 years now. I started out playing Starcraft Broodwar learning Zerg. Around the same time I also began playing Warcraft II and Diablo I. I never ladder in Broodwar my time was spent playing LAN games mainly Big Game Hunters with friends and family it wasn't until Warcraft III came out that I began laddering. I played Undead in Warcraft III however the style of play that was revolving around the hero units was a little bit different then the RTS games I was used to(Age of Empires II Age of Kings and Starcraft Broodwar) I played Frozen Throne but only for custom games and team games so I had no problems switching over to World of Warcraft soon after. However I never found it to be as much fun as Broodwar was. I thought it must have been because i was simply an RTS gamer and needed to find a game to fill that void. I tried my hand at Dawn of War but found little enjoyment with it. It wasn't until I heard that Starcraft II was going to be released that I knew there would be a game that I would devote all my time a passion into.
I was lucky enough to receive a Beta key on March 6, 2010. At the time i was rocking a relatively slower laptop with an intel 2 processor. Needless to say the game lagged as soon as i started up the game before i could even select my starting units. And this was of course run on the lowest possible settings. At the time I was playing as terran, using strategies like viking drops and mass reaper builds. I placed in the bronze league, with no ability to micro i simply A moved my units and hoped they could kill everything while i would macro after all watching the battle would simply lag the game even more. At the end of the beta I decided it was time to brave the lag and begin learning my original race, Zerg. When the game was finally released for sale I purchased the collectors edition and was placed in the Gold league in 1v1s. MLG Picked up Starcraft II and MLG Raleigh on August 27th 2010 was my first peak into the world of esports. I followed all of MLG last year which in turn got me following GSL since season 3 when Jinro went over to compete. I also have followed a few European tournaments, DreamHack and Assembly. Since then I've been doing nothing but research into the world of esports, the players, the leagues, and the game itself. Around this time i began commentating as well mainly my ladder play and of the players of similar skill.
With the start of the 2011 year I switched over to Protoss a little bit after Artosis began mentioning it on Gomtv. The way i looked at it was if Artosis was considering switching from Zerg to Protoss this might be something to consider trying out. In Broodwar I learned Zerg before switching to Protoss so I figured it was about time to mix it up. Since my switch I have made it into platinum in 1v1s. I've continued to follow many tournaments and even competing in a few myself. TeamSpeak TL SC2 Open #13, DC LAN #5, Tt eSPORTS 1v1 Starcraft II Open Tournament, DC LAN #6, and TeamSpeak TL SC2 Open #19.

I watch a lot more anime and a lot more movies those are just my top 5 ^^
