BIOGRAPHY
November 9, 1995 was the last day Nadieh performed, in Rotterdam. She became seriously ill and died on the 5th of April 1996.
Nadieh's professional career starts in the eighties. Her debut album Land of Ta (1986) receives favourable press reviews. Radio and tv become fascinated by her compositions and beautiful voice. Numerous releases (Company of Fools, No Way Back) follow and she does a lot of concerts and tv shows, both in the Netherlands and abroad. Next to a succesful record career Nadieh wins an Edison, the Silver Harp and The Best Singer Award (Japan). In 1991 her fourth album, Eye on the Waves, is released. In spite of all the success she decides, at the end of 1992, to stop performing for the moment and to dedicate herself to her children and horses. In her spare time she continues writing and composing and equips a studio, where she can record completely on her own conditions. In this way On my Own (1994), her fifth album, a cd full of gems, originates. As a logical consequence of this she wants to perform again. Not surrounded by glamour, not with a band, but very plain with her guitars and her voice.
