This is why they were so great. This song had bollocks in the mid-90's sea of whacked out, acid trip-hop alternative. They were fucking immortal.....too bad Liam's voice is garbage now.

Boomer and Bill Cowher (Carton was away, I believe) was a glimpse of what could be. It was great listening to "Boomer and Bill". Carton I cannot stand. His schtick gets old real fast and is essentially Mad Dog Lite.

Supersonic was meant for Liam circa 1993-2000. His voice now unfortunately is gone. Having said that this version has breathed new life into the song. Not better, not worse, just different. I do prefer Liam's ability to hang on to certain syllables; part of the early Oasis appeal.

@Pilaman82: Unfortunately they'd never play this today. Bono recently said "he'd forgotten the lyrics to the older songs". Sad really, because songs like these are ten times better than the current, gorilla excrement "Put On Your Boots" will ever be...

This is a great version no doubt. However modern-day Bono would never sing this now out of the ridiculous fear of being "too nationalistic". The U2 I knew and loved died after the ATYCLB album, sadly....

This is how I want to remember this song. I love this version almost as much as the original with Liam before he lost his voice. Liam cannot sing this anymore, which is a real bloody shame.....
