This is the official channel of the New York Public Interest Research Group (NYPIRG).

NYPIRG seeks to empower, train and educate community members and students through organizing and advocacy efforts in order to solve significant problems affecting the health, environment, democratic institutions and quality of life for New York State's residents.

NYPIRG's program areas include: clean air, utility deregulation, clean drinking water, lead poisoning prevention, mass transit advocacy (the Straphangers Campaign), government reform, voter registration, tobacco use prevention, notification and reduction of pesticide use, social justice, and consumer protection.
