COMPANY HISTORY
Working under the artistic direction of David Pledger, not yet it's difficult (NYID) is one of Australia's premier independent arts companies renowned as a pioneer in the development of contemporary theatre.

Since 1995, NYID has produced more than 30 local, national and international projects including original performance works, plays, public space projects, television and screen-based installations.

These have been presented in Australia, Asia and Europe in a variety of outstanding presentation contexts including the Screen Gallery of the Australian Centre for the Moving Image; Brisbane's Block Gallery at QUT; Sydney's Powerhouse Museum; the South Australian Gallery of Art; the Sydney Opera House; Tokyo's Morishita Studio; the Australian Pavilion at Expo in Hanover, Germany; the streets of Arhus, Denmark; the Vibafilm Movie Studios in Ljubljana, Slovenia; in the Kunsthalle for the Vienna Festival and
in Korea's Arko Art Theatre for the Seoul Performing Arts Festival.

The company has received funding and commissions from a wide variety of agencies and organisations in Australia including cinemedia, the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, the Australia Council of the Arts, Arts Victoria, the City of Melbourne, the Victorian College of the Arts, the Sidney Myer Fund and the Major Festivals Initiative, and internationally from the Japan Foundation, the Seoul Performing Arts Festival, the Australia-Malaysia Institute, the Australia-Korea Foundation, Expo 2000, the Arhus Festival, the Vienna Festwochen and the Liverpool Capital of Culture.
