NSSLHA has implemented many programs and activities to enhance the academic, pre-professional development, and networking experiences for students in communication sciences and disorders.
Do you want to feel good about your work, be challenged, make a positive impact on people, and earn a good living for yourself and your family?
Few careers offer all of these benefits, but you're about to discover several careers that do—careers in communication sciences and disorders (CSD). From audiologists and speech-language pathologists (SLPs) to scientists and professors, the need for new professionals is great, and so are the rewards for you.
National NSSLHA membership provides benefits that help students stay current on advancements in the field, enhance their academic knowledge, find internships and employment, network with other students with similar interests, and save money on products and services.
The ASHA Convention is the premier annual event for speech-language pathologists, audiologists, and speech, language, and hearing scientists. Bringing together more than 12,000 attendees, the annual Convention provides you with a once-a-year opportunity to learn about the latest evidence-based research, polish clinical skills, improve techniques and gain new tools and resources to advance professional development.
There are many ways for students to get involved at ASHA Convention too. Students are encouraged to attend education sessions to augment their studies, visit with exhibitors in the Exhibit Hall, and attend the Graduate School Fair and Career Fair.
