2013 MenuMasters Awards Play

The 2013 class of MenuMasters Award winners has cast aside preconceived notions of American foodservice and broken new ground, proving that children do like food that's good for them, pork can have a place in seafood restaurants and people want to eat tacos packed in snack-food shells.

The awards, produced by Nation's Restaurant News and sponsored by Ventura Foods, honor outstanding menu development and excellence in foodservice research and development.

Honorees include Taco Bell, Noodles & Company, Papa John's Pizza, Silver Diner, Red Lobster and Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurants. In addition, Cleveland-based chef Jonathon Sawyer has been named the Innovator of the Year, and José Andrés, head of ThinkFoodGroup in Washington, D.C., has been inducted into the MenuMasters Hall of Fame.
