They are not made in China. My father bought me a new Buck skinner last Christmas and it plainly says "Made in the USA" on it.

Good to know about the gaskets. I am slightly annoyed by the construction of this tomahawk. Id rather they spray the handle with rhino liner for grip than having cheap gaskets. Thanks for the post.
