I recently got a job after being unemployed for over a year.
Unfortunately, the person I teamed with was a nightmare, and truly frightened me at times. He was severly manic-depressive, and switched moods faster than he changed his underwear. He drove over hours, driving into my shift, thereby causing me to fatique out halfway through. He stopped the truck multiple times when I was trying to sleep, causing me to awaken. His driving habits left a lot to be desired, and I would go into the bunk praying for God to get us safely through the night. No matter what I did, there was just no reasoning with this individual. Now, the company claims they have no one else to team me up with. So, unemployed again! If this ruins my unemployment benefits, I will become destitute, and might as well slit my wrists.
I know that I am not alone, that other ladytruckers have been in similar, and yes, even worse hostile working conditions than I was. I hope that they will share their stories also. (less info)
