Life as a Support Worker - Making a Difference

1,858 views 1 year ago
Meet Nicky, a support worker, and Ted, the aging gentleman she supports. Nicky embarked on a career change from the high flying advertising industry, looking for something else, as she says, something to feed her soul. She found community care services, where she was able to help others by becoming a support worker.

Nicky supports Ted, an avid artist, to live a normal life. Without the care of a support worker, this would not be possible. As Ted's main care worker, Nicky has assisted Ted to hold art exhibitions, visit museums and galleries, to pursue his interests and hobbies, and to simply continue to explore and enjoy life.

If you are thinking about becoming a support worker -- don't underestimate the difference you make in someone else's life. Like Nicky, you too can be the difference.
