Despite what some people may think Lana is a rather serious person. Generally speaking people who are chosen to live their lives in the public eye have two very different personalities, one for their adoring fans and one that is their personal life. Lana mixes both of these very well and has learned not to confuse the two (Public and Personal). Despite general gossip Lana remains to be a very level headed person. For instance while performing at a school graduation her breast popped out and was bared for all to see.
Normally this would cause a huge scandal, not to mention that of embarrassment to the individual, but no, not to Lana. She treated this as a favourable happening and of course, and to pardon a pun, milked it for all it was worth, with the view that there really is no such thing as bad publicity. Lana has earned herself the title of being the most modern performer in Kazakhstan. Her passions are that of shoes (can never have enough) well tailored suits and of course all the other trappings that are generally associated to women of great beauty. Lana once said that to drop out of sight is that of a dangerous thing and although her music is her most beloved passion, she realises that fans like and look up to her for her other pursuits...
Minibiographie:
Lana was born in Karaganda and was born into a prosperous family under the influence of a soviet regime, her father being a Lawyer and her mother a Doctor of medicine. Lana was born on the 19th of October and was welcomed not only by both of her parents, but also her two older brothers. Lana always showed a passion for music and when her family upped and left Karaganda for the bright lights of Kazakhstan's capitol, Almaty, she was enrolled into Amre Kashaubaeva, a renowned school of music. Little did anyone know that this would of course be the beginning of Lana's flourishing career and the beginnings of her trip to stardom!, although the writing was already on the wall as she was so advanced and willing to learn that instead of the normal seven years to complete the honors level of education, Lana achieved it in six. Her mother still recounts of Lana's dedication to music and her wanting to become a star. At the age of 14 Lana then went to further her education at P.I. Chaikovskyi and then at the age of 18 she was enrolled into the State Conservatory of Music, Kurmangazy. It is here that Lana was trained by none other than that of Gaukhar Murzabekova, an already accomplished violinist in both local and international circles.
At the end of 1996 A turning-point in Lana's life, she started to train with a young, talented and ambitious musician, Mr Adil Zhambakiev. Zhambakiev already a veteran in the music scene having worked with the likes of "AR-Club" duet, saw great potential in Lana as she was wanting to experiment with the violin, but no one thought that this would come to anything. Fortunatly it did and one could almost say that this is where the great talents came to life. Adil was a few years older than Lana but this did not hinder the great creativeness and understanding between the two of them. At that 1997 year Saw Lana performing for the first time to the public. Lana was invited to perfom at the International Festival call Asia Dauysy and recounts that her debutant coming out was that of a great one and given the sparkle of her performace, Lana was invited back to play at the 1998 concert for the same festival.
