Mangini joined the band in November, the creation of songs began in January. They stated that Mangini was not in the studio when creating the album, voluntarily. It was written by JP, & JM JR. MM could contribute immediately to writing songs?

Mike seems totally changed, he is my favorite drummer but I begin to think that perhaps it was good for all that he has left Dream Theater. I wish him lots of luck anyway.
