February 07, 2008. "The truth is, I signed my first contract as the only female in a group called the Nappy Headz in Tallahassee, Florida. The founding member, Faheem Najm (aka T-Pain) was a great inspiration for me as I witnessed him perfecting his craft. The rest of the group consisted of "Rabi" (my cousin by marriage), Eric, Notty Black, Nukedog, OD, and Rasheed (T-Pain's brother). We had fun but I decided to focus more of my energy on the business side and creating my own empire. Don't get me wrong, I love everything about my guys, theres no if ands or buts about that, so with that in mind,I relocated to Atlanta, GA. There I pondered over the notion of how to become the greatest female emcee of all time. It took me a few years to put it all together but now I realize this: it doesn't necessarily take record sales to prove that one is a great artist. It does take heart, passion, and a sense of purpose to pull off a great deed. Now I'm the owner and director of two companies also I am grateful to be the Founder/Director of The Female Emcee Foundation, Inc., a nonprofit organization in support of women & girls.
