Hello. I'm Jasmin Acuna Barnes, founder of My Wig Studio. I am originally from the Philippines and now live with my husband and 3 children in California. I am an IT Software project manager who loves technology. However, my creative side has always been in tuned with entrepreneurship, lifestyle, fashion and beauty. If there is such a thing as a serial entrepreneur, that would be me. I had a clothing and accessories store back when I was still in school and had ventured into
network marketing, real estate and events productions. My most recent fascination is everything hair.

As a child growing up, I never really cared for my hair and the way I looked. I was such a tomboy and a late bloomer, didn't care for boys, for romantic books, or anything exciting. I was completely boring.

During my teenage years, my hair has become a major problem to the point that I didn't even want to wake up and deal with it! I even remembered shaving off the bottom half of my head! I got more bad hair days than anything. My hair is naturally coarse and dry. I am the type of person who always re-invents my self through my creative projects whether it may be sewing, playing the guitar, gardening, cooking or interior decorating. This trait reflects my fashion sense as well. I get bored with the same look. I have to change my style, my hair every now and then. This took a toll on my already hard to manage and damaged hair. From a person who is willing to try just about anything, I discovered wigs. Not only it can transform your look in a matter of seconds, its my way of saying goodbye to bad hair days for good! Voila!

I was skeptical at first because as we all know wigs have a stigma. People think that wigs are only for our grandparents and for people who have a medical condition. Totally untrue. Celebrities use hairpieces, hair add ons and extensions almost on a daily basis. It has now become a widely accepted accessory in our modern time. It is definitely a fresh addition to women's wardrobe. Its the perfect hairy solution for Fashion&Style, Practicality&Sensibility and
Medical Necessity all rolled into one.

My own small personal collection grew and slowly became My Wig Studio as it is today. My company started back in 2009 and it is still growing. I am happy where we are at today and I am determined to keep going, helping women feel good about themselves from within. We, as women already do so much for society as it is. You can only imagine the possibility if women are armed with gorgeous hair, we will be unstoppable, unconquerable!

I would like to see more women go after their passion and make a difference in the lives of others. I've vowed to help and inspire others to do the same. I believe you can do anything with the right combination of practicality, enthusiasm,
discipline and positive attitude.

I've made a million mistakes along the way, and instead of punishing myself for it, I now embrace it and use the lessons learned and share it with others. I believe that my wig company is not only meant to help people get gorgeous, it is meant to
inspire others to chase their passion and live their dreams.
