About this user
I am a former Muslim, and now an Agnostic Atheist with an unyielding belief and support for the freedom of religion for all people, everywhere at all stages of life, *without exception*.
When I left the faith I wanted to keep the reasons for my apostasy and to myself - the reason being, I was still very fond of Islam, Islamic teachings and Muslims, and I STILL do recognize the good teachings and the positive effects it can have on a person, in terms of honesty, discipline, confidence, mental health, humility etc. the problem being that they are all for the wrong reasons. And not to mention that once you accept the good teaching, you must also bear the bad teachings.
I really have met some beautiful Muslims in my lifetime, people who have made me who I am today, and I honestly have no 'bitterness' towards muslims, nor 'God'.
However.
The Islam is false, and it will only harm humanity to tolerate any falsehood *without* due criticism.
And Islam isn't just any religion - it causes a powerful illusion that has a tight hold on the majority of it's followers, and it is without doubt the most intolerant faiths.
I can definitely bear witness to this, and any person who has or is a Muslim understands that this is what forms a large part of its appeal - "part of the parcel", as it were. The prophetic rhetoric, the fiery zeal and the blind assurance in the beliefs and in Muhammad's words.
But oh how I wish the people I once called my ummah would swallow their pride (and theres alot of it), stop playing the victim and awaken from their deep slumber.
Humanity is ready to move on, but they (among many) are just weighing everybody down.
