@marcusbondi. From 1968 to around 1977 Stevie produced an awesome run of albums that stand to this day. "Musical genius" is an apt description.

@dobrautero. Yes it was a piss take of the BBC and media generally who kept banning his stuff. So he came up with this as a way of saying, "you'll only play this sort of harmless stuff, so here you go".

@jpgrbeat1. Same here. But I bought it anyway and I couldn't believe how so many of the songs were SO good, this being the best. The only criticism of Wildlife is that it is so under produced, but then I reckon that's a good thing. Tomorrow is a great song, would have been great as a Beatles albu...

Such an under-rated gem of a song.

Not bad - having Lennon, Harrison & Ringo provide the backing track. Oh and Paul on vocals. Beautiful.

Watching these guys create history is amazing. And then you hear George or John say something in a thick scouse accent - just brings it home how normal yet extraordinary these guys were.

The Beatles' demo stuff (which they considered unsuitable for release) knocks the socks off most music of the last 42 years. We are privileged to hear geniuses at work here....

I don't think being into old music is nostalgia at all. If it's genius, it's genius, irrespective of the date of it's creation. Being into Mozart, Shakespeare, Picasso isn't nostalgia and no one, quite rightly, ever says it is. The fact is music like this is just so damn good that it will endure...

@atomicwave. I envy you!! When I discovered this album I couldn't believe how deliciously irrestistible it was. Song after amazing song. It's probably Paul's best album. Can you imagine how good the Beatles's albums in 1970 and would have been - with the best off McCartney & RAM, All Things Must ...

This album and Suede's eponymous debut started off the whole Brit-Pop thing. In it's wake came Pulp's His'n'Hers, Blur's ParkLife, Oasis's Definitley Maybe, Suede's Dogmanstar. And the rest is history. But this is where it starts (or re-starts).

An album better than Let it Be & Abbey Rd and one that could ...

More people have listened to this song on Youtube than bought the album in the first 10 yrs of release.
