I am V. Woods, the CEO of My Salon Scoop. I went from frustrated hair salon client to a beauty entrepreneur when I had the vision to connect hairdressers and hair salon clients together online. The focus of online beauty magazine is to educate African-American women about how to maintain healthy hair.

After chatting with my girlfriends about the difficulty to find the best hair salons in our cities, I came up with an idea to use technology to share ratings and reviews about local hair salons. The salon directory, http://mysalonscoop.com/salons, features the best hair salons in cities like New York, Philadelphia, and Houston that cater to African-American hair.

After launching the website and getting to know some of the hair salon owners and hairstylists featured in my directory, I knew that there was more that I could do besides connecting the two groups together. I hated to see salons that offered great service go out of business because of a lack of business planning. Since my professional experience involved helping small business owners market more effectively, I knew that I could help salon owners kick their word of mouth marketing up a notch even on a budget.

We launched http://BookYourChairSolid.com to meet the needs of salon owners and hair salon booth renters who have bold goals to grow their businesses but need a solid plan to attract and keep more happy loyal clients.
