After MJ's death, I've started thinking about my own mortality. Yes, I know we all die and leave this physical world, but it didn't really hit me until I learned about MJ's untimely passing. I, like many of his HUNDREDS of MILLIONS of fans worldwide immortalized him; thought he would never die; would never leave the physical world. After his death, it really hit me that we are given but so much time on this earth to leave an impact - a positive impact. For the past couple of months I've been thinking about potential gifts/talents I may possess of my own that could perhaps bring joy to others. It's been pretty tough for me b/c for a long time I believed that I didn't really have anything to offer to anyone. I started thinking about when I was younger and how my teacher wrote nice little comments about stories I wrote for class assignments. So recently, I've been trying to explore writing and dabbling with the possibility of writing fiction books or plays. It's just a thought, but who knows where it might lead. I encourage everybody to take a few minutes out of their day to think about something they might have done as a kid/teenager that brought a smile to others and explore that a possible talent/gift. Were you the funny kid who always made people laugh? Did you always find people coming to you with their problems b/c of your great listening skills or advice? Were you the kid who always stood up for the underdog? Did your drawings evoke positive emotions or comments from others? Were people always captivated by your ability to dance? Ability to read lines on paper with such conviction and emotion they didn't know you were acting? etc... We are all born with gifts/talents, some people are lucky enough to discover theirs...
