If you claim you want the truth, do not assume you have it - check it out and see!
About Me:

Seeking truth to whatever degree it is accessible. Unfortunately, this is definitely a messy activity. Since, everyone claims it, but very few seem to have it... (Ya, I know its not like you can hold the truth, but being privy to it to some degree is good right...okay, it depends on what you do with it...But just having it can't be a problem right... Assuming it doesn't consume your life....? Okay...I will settle for just being less wrong...)

Do not harm (inequitable X interaction, needless suffering, non-consent, non-consideration, abuse/deceit, and neglect of feeling things) to the extent possible is the best that I can say with regard to morality. The degree to which an action causes needless harm is the degree to which it is immoral.

So, if you find any of my positions to be deluded/wrong/skewed, please let me know so that I may improve.

If a god(s) exists that cares about our state of existence, I can't imagine it would leave our state of understanding in such conflict and confusion as we have today. I can't imagine that it would use any of us to pass a message to the rest of us. I don't believe anyone should accept this stuff without an actual god attesting to its authenticity, which we don't for any religion - just claims. God as claimed - would need no messengers.

I understand that some will claim that I can't know the mind of god. I don't claim that there is one. If you do, does the confusion make sense in your worldview?

If everyone is giving a contradictory depiction, you know something is wrong... even if you don't know what...

To Everyone:

We are all prisoners to what we think we know. We get better by expanding what we know. If you claim that your opposition is wrong, make sure you actually know why your opposition is making the claim that they make...don't make assumptions actually ask them.
==============================
Whether it be a god or just the happenstance of biology, my notion of "good" rejects the idea that god(s) as depicted in any text that I have seen can be called purely good. They are at best equivalent to an idol (for those who look upon them with such approval), wherein the bad parts are ignored for the sake of adulation.
==============================
Definitions: (Expanded as needed)

Atheist: One who rejects claims of god(s) due to lack of evidence for such a claim or does not have a god(s) concept.
==============================
I have rejected all of the arguments for any god for the same reason. There is NOTHING that supports any of the arguments. Apparently, this is not understood to be the case, so I have created something that should illustrate the problem. (Kinda of an updated Flying Spaghetti Monster - May his noodlely holiness forgive me...:) ).

ULINK -- An infinite immaterial span of space from which universes emerge - ours is just one of them. There can be no existence without the ULINK for without it there is no existence. The ULINK has always existed and is eternal and ever changing. The "rules" of "matter" are NOT consistent across universes and are not consistent within some universes. All conceptions of time within the pure existence that is the ULINK have no meaning, since, all things within the ULINK occur spontaneously and it is only at that point does the notion of time have any relevance and only for the things so generated.

I don't expect anyone to believe in the ULINK, since, it is merely conjuncture that fits the facts as we know it. It is just a claim. I could produce argument after argument to support it. I can in fact reformulate most arguments for a god and support the ULINK with that argument.

I am hoping that most will understand what does or does not have actual support. I would dare say that my creation has more support than ANY god concept.

Take a look at any ice crystal and you could claim what appears to be design, however, it is merely the self organizing principle of the water molecule when a loss of thermal energy occurs. This occurs within and between elements, molecules, and compounds which themselves are the blocks for larger more complex systems...

A lie is a lie even if everyone believes it. The truth is the truth even if nobody believes it. ~ David Stevens

The more intelligent gives way. How truly unfortunately! It justifies the world domination of the stupidity!

@codeXenigma There was a time that saw religion as having generally good notions, which were effectively harmless. I say harmless in the sense that everyone that I knew presented something relatively positive. Well, that ended when I saw the larger picture of what was happening to many with the irrational claims and actions that took place as a by product of their beliefs. The notion of Deuteronomy being good indicates a level of skewing of moral notions that is simply disgusting and dangerous to us all. Check out the following...

@hdregmore Please note your comment "...was based on the ideology of Marxism--Leninism. " as supporting my claim that it was not an atheistic notion that directed anything. The claims of being an atheist is a statement of what is NOT accepted as a point of belief - that being the idea of a god(s). A person could believe practically anything else. This is why one cannot claim an atheistic position to be a point of action, since, there is nothing that can be claimed to be a point of action. You only know what they don't accept, you don't know what they do.

If you believe that atheism is immune from blame for the "killings" instigated by atheist communist regimes simply because they did not have a flag saying "atheism did this" are you either incredibly naive or just plain dumb.

The Soviet Union was the first state to have as an ideological objective the elimination of religion and its replacement with atheism. State atheism in the Soviet Union was known as gosateizm, and was based on the ideology of Marxism--Leninism.

hmm your blog is interesting.. what is god? why is it so different to different ppl... why do we care so much if others agree or disagree with us on our opinions? lol
i personally think a god and goddess.. divine spirits r healed and awaken souls.. those that 'know thyself as eternal beings' and the beast is hmm bio life.. so do u give into your selfish beast hungers, or do u tune into your god/goddess self and try to remember divine.. kinda thing.. jus my opinion ; )
we use the idea of 'god/goddess' to inspire us..
tho some ppl need others opinions, bc they r insecure.. some need leaders bc they feel lost.. so others opinions of what a 'god/goddess' is matters to them
as for truth.. its a cool meditation focus.. as to what it is.. ahhhh i guess we will know when we find it... like answers to questions ; )

I enjoied your video on morality very much. One of the problems we Christians have is that we continuously confuse morality and moralism. Moralism is so destructive, and so often immoral. Morality is an evolutionary system by which we make interhuman relations and communal life possible.Basically, Orthodox morality is (theoretically) the transformation of the heart into unselfish love. Without unselfish love, there is no spiritually viable morality. As a rule of thumb, if a deed (etc) is motivated or limited by unselfish love, it is likely moral; it is self-centred grasping of "your own", if unselfish love is not present, it has a good likely hood of being immoral.

@TheFaithfulApologist " and slavery (as part of the plunder)" - "He who kidnaps a man, whether he sells him or he is found in his possession, shall surely be put to death." (Exodus 21:16). "rape (as part of the plunder)" - "But if out in the country a man happens to meet a girl pledged to be married and rapes her, only the man who has done this shall die." - Deuteronomy 22:25. " It exalts murder (conquest for land) - Thou Shalt not kill Ten Commandments. These where the laws given.
---
Apparently, it only applied to Israelites. Read Deuteronomy completely, since, the mass killings, rape, and enslavement is all right there. So, far as I am concerned it was simply justification for more stuff (land, slaves, and women (in various capacities)).

Some of what I find objectionable in the bible:
