I'm not sure why you never went for c2 at move 45. He takes your bishop, and then you queen. He can sac the exchange but surely if he does that you have a better position?

Yay, a Danish Gambit game. I play this all the time as white, and very rarely lose with it. Would love to see more Danish Gambit games!

1.03.20 - I don't understand why white can't take the bishop. Surely if black plays RF7 white can trade his queen for both rooks (plus the bishop he has already won)?

Move 19; you play g6. Yet before you were planning on taking off the bishop (which would be with check) so surely that move first makes the most logical sense? :)

KC you didn't look at any lines if white doesn't accept the knight sacrifice?

In the last game, bishop takes bishop at the end looks winning aswell. Qg5+ followed by Nxf5 and how does black defend?

Move 25. What about the exchange sac with Rxg7?

What if black plays f6? It traps the knight with the added benefit surely of not allowing the knight for pawn sac. Is it really theory then to just go to f7 anyway and force the king to move?

Doesn't c5 lose a tempo though because you then have to move your bishop again to recapture?

In fact, there were a few opportunities to play Qh5 but this was the best one surely. You threaten mate in 2 and I can't see any defense other than him finding a perpetual/mating you instead.

@AndyMH182: A piece down and the queens off with no attacking chances - at this level it's a sure loss. The endgame is just technique.

Houdini won't find a solution because black played a losing move when he started pushing his pawns. He should have played kb7, to allow his king to help his pawns rather than being a liability to checks and check mate threats!

Is this a remake because I saw it not that long ago! It's amazing how in the final position white has three pieces en pris to the queen, but none of them can be taken because it's an illegal move or leads to mate!

ke1 is the only saving move for white at the end I think? The king may be able to wriggle out of checkmate and if you're careless and just take the rook then Qa8! is mate on the next move.

Kg1 also gets off the diagonal of the bishop. So it stops any potential bishop sacrifice on g2

Nice game. Quick qn - before the queens are exchanged, is taking the knight worth considering? 8 points of material for the queen and soon to be even more as how to stop the pawn from promoting without saccing material? F6 and E5 (potential penetration squares for whites queen if the bishop moves...

Earlier on in the game when you had the knight on c3 and the queen on e2, was an exchange sac a possibility, 2 pawns for the knight? 2 outside passed pawns potentially, surely making the sac worthwhile?
