About this user

Mustard Seed International shares the hope of the Gospel through medical clinics, schools and homes for orphaned and abandoned children. It seeks to transform the lives of those it serves in Taiwan, Southeast Asia, India, Hungary and Sudan.

Founded by Lillian Dickson, MSI began in Formosa (modern day Taiwan). In the 1960s, Lillian began to expand the MSI ministry outside the borders of Taiwan and across the island nations of Southeast Asia.

Dr. Bob Pierce, the founder of World Vision and Samaritan's Purse, befriended Lillian Dicskon and was a guiding force in establishing Mustard Seed International as a non-profit organization in the United States. Dr. Pierce served as the first president of MSI and remained an active member of the Board of Trustees until his death in 1978.
