I was on the fence about nightingale, but I'm ordering it right now
1/144 Skygrasper was first released in the EX lineup, not RG....
Daaayum, that came out good! I would have left the barrels of the guns, and the thrusters the Gunmetal, yellow eyes, and a bit of yellow here and there (v-fin perhaps), but that's just my personal taste. I've been working on mine - trying to figure out how to replace the shoulder cannon with one of the unicorn beam gatlings, since the hands are too big to hold them...
Wow, no wonder I haven't been able to get the rest of the SF F91 kits from HLJ... :P I got the G-Cannon Magna a while back and can confirm it is just the G-Cannon with extra parts. You can build the original G-Cannon, in funky colors though. I've been on an old kit kick lately, trying to the get F91, SF F91, and X 1/100 kits. Of course, this is when they're impossible to find, let alone for a decent price.
I got a few of these, and have to say I too enjoyed the detailing. They really ought to reissue these, maybe without the chrome. Would also love to see some more modern, popular engines, like the Ford Coyote or the GT500 engine.
My favorite Neo Zeon suit is the Kshatriya. It's a big green hulking behemoth!
Robert, are you going to be doing a comparison of all three of the HG Red Frames? Would like to see how it stacks up versus the M1 and the first HG
So.... two things I'd like to know that I have yet to see covered in any of the reviews of the 3.0: will the Full Armor pieces fit on the 3.0, and is the 3.0 compatible with the G-Armor?
Haha, her insane laughing!!! "Don't go above 50!!!!" I can see the gears turning in his head: "Don't go over 150? OK!!!" :D This is the exact reason I don't take my mom anywhere in my car... grabs onto me and distracts me while I'm driving, thus creating hazards.
What is the front chin spoiler and exhaust setup on this car?
This is looking really good! It's amazing how good a paint job will make a kit look, even if sticking to the original colors. One critique for your videos, and possibly that might help you in painting: better lighting! So much of the stuff you were trying to record was difficult to see just because of the shadows. Other than that, loving your work so far, and hoping I can have some videos up half as good as your painting :)
I've compared the MG Victory/V-Dash and Bandai pretty much has 90-95% of the work for the V2 done (yes, they're THAT similar - only a few details will need to be changed on the main body and limbs). The biggest change is going to be for the core fighter and chest, though they can easily change a few parts for the V2 one. If they don't announce one by the end of this year, I'm going to buy an extra MG V and do my own.
Prime, I think some of the "missing parts" for the upcoming Rouge were actually pieces missing from the plates from the previous Gat-X suits (Buster, Duel, etc).
Also, if you're not going to use the stand, I'll happily take if off of your hands. Have been wanting another one without having to buy another MG Strike....
Used my tax return to order a set of these in 18x9 black machined for my black 2003 Steeda-ized GT to replace the factory option, out of production 99 polished Cobra rims that were on it when I bought the car brand new Feb 19, 2003. Can't wait to get these puppies mounted up! Would have gone with the bigger width in the rear, but the rubber was prohibitively expensive (at $100+ more per tire - already shelling out $250 for the 9s - Yokohoma S-drives). Will get some pictures snapped after!
My DE has the same issue with the bottom section not opening on the right side. I thought I broke something, but seeing this makes me think it might be a molding issue.
The transparent color of the psychoframe was a real letdown to me. I had 4 preordered with HLJ but cancelled all but 1 after pics of the red, instead of the clear psychoframe were released. I had been planning on doing at least 1 Banshee and 3 on the FA Unicorn. Oh well, at least the KO companies have my back! But yeah, after I got the one and looked at the sprues I realized Bandai's going to release a MG Banshee Norn for Ep 7...
Haha, this made me laugh. Theists dread death because they fear they weren't "good enough" in the eyes of their god during life. Me, I have no fear of death (or anything else - except yogurt and telephones) because I know it's a natural part of life, and EVERYONE dies. I'm one of those "forever alone" types, especially being that I live in the bible belt.
Wow! 2:35 - 2:39 ish gave me chills!
I'm glad you're expanding your horizons :) While my "modelling" has mostly been Gundam the last 10 years, I've recently been expanding into almost all of the other aspects of the hobby. I currently have 3 cars, a motorcycle, and a couple of airplanes in progress, as well as a few Gundam kits. The great thing is that there's a lot of carryover between each genre as far as skills needed (glossy paint apps for cars, some gundams, etc and camo for UC Gundams and tanks and planes).
Looks pretty awesome. It's 1/144, right? Can't wait to see it built! I'd love to get one, but I'm trying to stay with just MGs unless there's something that won't come out in HG (such as the Dendrobium and METEOR), and the suits that go along with them. RGs are pretty badass, too.
Robert, where'd you get the red LEDs?
Prime, dark kits on a dark background make my eyes hurt! Please, no more! I think it's sad that the Banshee OVA accessories are better than even the MG in terms of transformation and articulation ability.
