I love to sing..period;)
I am my sister's answer to prayer.I am also the youngest of 5 and I have 1 sister and 3 brothers.I wanted to be like my sister growing up and to sing like her too. Now our voices sound very similar(Those who know us can tell us apart though.:), excepting that I have a little more power(that's what I get from singing with my bro.,;) eh? He has been really singing ever since a friend gave him some Pavarotti CDs..When Josh first sang up front he wowed the audience because no one knew that he could sing and they were amazed at the voice coming out of him.).Sometimes people don't believe it when we tell them , but yes, Josh as Asperger's. What gets people though is that because we've worked with him so much he's just like any other person.Awhile back he got to meet William Stillman, and he really liked that..:)Josh is very intelligent, and highly artistic. He is an excellent photographer. He has a VERY strong ear for music and he just started taking Violin lessons and is picking up quickly. I have been singing since I was young, but my voice didn't change/improve until my late teens. I usually sing with my brother, Josh, at quite a few diff. places but mainly at our church. We have had about a year of vocal training, but some said we didn't need it...My teacher says that I am a high soprano and that I have an operatic voice..(she said I was singing higher than a soprano)..I have had about one year of voice lessons.:O..I have singing in my blood.Both of my Grandmothers sang(one on the radio with her sister and the other in church at weddings & etc.)Now I sing at weddings and etc...I LOVE music, especially Classical, which I listened to growing up.My mom has gotten used to the fact that whenever I'm around there's usually music playing.I am also a pianist.I have been playing for 10 yrs. and had 4 yrs. of lessons, 5 yrs. working on my own, and one more year of lessons(really just prep. for college).About 2 yrs. ago I started picking up music by ear and now I can play nearly everything that I hear.I am a church pianist and I am also an accompanist for other singers..Besides music, reading is another passion of mine.Currently I am seeking admission at college to study music.Am I a prodigy?..hmn..Well, it's actually a miracle that I am singing at all...I am so thankful that I can sing.I know that I'm supposed to go to school for music with a voice concentration.It may seem strange to you, but originally I wasn't going to go for music because I thought that I was not good enough...In the beginning when I was complimented on my singing I'd say thank you and duck my head(I still catch myself doing that sometimes)..Apparently though, God had other plans..I would truly appreciate your prayers for me. Sometimes I doubt, but I have to trust that God will give me the strength I need for every day.I' ve been told I sing like an angel, but I'm pretty sure that their voices are like none we've ever heard...even more beautiful. All praise belongs to God alone.
