Burt Bacharach - Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head

an all around good song, he sings in this one, Burt and BJ Thomas i guess

@ItsTheDrivewayBaby Wow! That simple plea really worked for you. :D

So now I think we should turn you loose on the EU budget problems so you can work your magic over there too (for all of us).

Earth Wind & Fire - Sun Goddess (LIVE)

    Click to add a description...

@Wdel32 I'm guessing you might be referring to Phil Bailey's tenor solo in "Reasons" here (rather than Sun Goddess, although both are from the same album/concert). If only because I'm not sure you could say there is a real tenor solo in "Sun Goddess."

Great stuff all around, in any case. Or, ...

    Sexy Robot Galatea

My perfect robot. Love to have this fine piece of machinery around my house!

Having read through all the comments I have to wonder if ANY of you noticed that Galeatea was not only IN the final scene,...but maybe instrumental to it's signifigance?

    Anyone?

Thank you for posting it, SheepsC. @firdousstar Yes, she has a voice with some potential. But her stylist clearly needs to find someone else to sponge off (and not her family--or THEY need to ditch the stylist.).

@Mulsanne917flatout Followup to my own previous post, of course, but I can't find any other option...so: Vince Guaradli's "Christmastime is Here" from that same, fantastic "Charlie Brown Christmas Album" will have to suffice (no it won't just "suffice"--it's the pure ticket, IMO).

Roger Williamson Formula one fatal crash

The tragic accident that formula one should never forget.

I have always wished David had tried to "leverage himself" between that overturned rear wheel of Rogers car and the guardrail behind him, in his first effort to turn the upturned car over. Easier for me to think of it, I'm sure, as I'm a tall galoot (and perhaps he just as easily dismissed it a...

Jim Clark's death during a F2 race in Hockenheim in 1968.

    R.I.P. Jimmy!

In his book "My Racing Life" Derek Bell opined that a misfire was a likely cause (or at least a factor) in Clarks fatal accident this day. He related that Jimmie was aware his car was not performing as well as it should and that he had said to another driver, before the race: "when you pass me...

    Formula 1 Top 10 Crashes

Formula 1's top 10 crashes in the last 10 years

A difficult question: What makes a crash one of the "worst?" To my way of thinking, I believe, or at least hope, that for most normal people, it's the continued SUFFERING of the victim after the crash is what makes one of these events worse than another.

They are all bad, and are all a con...

Poco ~ Find Out In Time

This sweet song from Poco's great album Indian summer (1977/ remast. 2004). Music of UMG. http://www.lyricsg.com/6884......

@captainsoul1953 In regard to this LP, I don't know, no. However: I HAVE bought, some years ago (from Japan) two direct remasters (at a cost of about $40 US each) of Herb Alpert and Sergio Mendes (both A&M). Both were PERFECTLY clear and I consider both to be prized posesssions today.

Bicentennial Man - The Gift of Mortality

Track 16 from the Bicentennial Man original soundtrack composed by James Horner

@mabelxxxbsb IMO the spirit of Andrew is literally born...and then grasps for very life right in front of our eyes. Such an extraordinary and broad idea/concept that I think most narrow minded humans who will watch this film will miss it entirely.

The ending to one of my favourite sci-fi films.

    Sorry for the poor quality.

@hectichorse No he won't, and that's the point. His soul was...or became...a TRUE soul because it demanded of the universe that it be allowed t...

As much as I love the original, I have to say this is very, very good too. And unique in its own way. It takes the original score and "runs" off into imaginary realms with that idea, building upon it in its own way.

Christmas Time Is Here (Instrumental) - Vince Guaraldi Trio

    Charlie Brown Christmas

Get in that Christmas spirit and listen to this classic tune. ...

This one does it to me every time, right from the opening note. That background string strumming sends the shivers up my spine...and the tears come to my eyes, and I smile...and say "Ahhhh" inside (as they start to stream down my face).
