@captainsoul1953 In regard to this LP, I don't know, no. However: I HAVE bought, some years ago (from Japan) two direct remasters (at a cost of about $40 US each) of Herb Alpert and Sergio Mendes (both A&M). Both were PERFECTLY clear and I consider both to be prized posesssions today.

As much as I love the original, I have to say this is very, very good too. And unique in its own way. It takes the original score and "runs" off into imaginary realms with that idea, building upon it in its own way.

This one does it to me every time, right from the opening note. That background string strumming sends the shivers up my spine...and the tears come to my eyes, and I smile...and say "Ahhhh" inside (as they start to stream down my face).
