To live freely is live through love, to understand ones calling is the most precious gift one could awaken too. I have spent many years living the art and culture of Hip Hop and music, beginning my journey with the grimey dance of Bgurling. I spent 5 years dedicating my training in the art of bgurling, the art of rhythm, the art of movement. I traveled to germany, singapore, LA, Australia and all over Aotearoa with this gift and loved every moment of its growth. In this time i learnt a great deal about the minds and attitudes of many, i learnt the way people liked to conduct their thoughts and i learnt the fact that so many are poisoned with jealousy and envy. I chose to take these teachings and lead by example, lead by love, for love is the greatest medicine and will overcome any kind of darkness. I spent 2 years within the tv and radio industry, presenting shows for tv 2 and Maori television, hosting my own show on Flava 96.1 and performing live at many shows all over the motu. This season of my life was an insightful look into the industry that so fiercely has the power to mould the thoughts of the wider community. I always struggled to conform to commercial radio, and found myself in the principles office getting corrected for my too forward opinions. Ha! I left that industry behind and embarked on developing my poetry which eventualy grew into music. I now spend my time down here in wellington writing and co creating my ep, the most cultural and inspiring city in Aotearoa i feel very at home and for once in my life im not needing to move against the grain. The grain is instilled within me and my creativity, to be free and to live in peace engulfed in Papatuanukus arms. Reconnection! I look forward to sharing my new music with you when its complete and wish only for one thing. Well i lie wish for three things tehehe!
PEACE. LOVE. UNITY.
