TRIBE027 (Released 31-Jan-2012) / Digital
Tribe are excited to welcome Djeff from Angola another exciting young talent to our ever expanding world dance music camp. This man has been on a roll of late spreading his unique Angolan vibes.
'One Night' is an emotional piece of dark deep house sung beautifully by Sandy Spady who resides in New York and has had previous releases on Strictly Rhythm with The Wizard Brian Coxx. The guys hooked up when Djeff was introduced to Sandy through Coxx last year.
There's a real global feel about this remix package. Black Motion from South Africa lead the way giving us their interpretation bringing their energy drum lead vibe straight to the dance floor, this mix already a favourite on Tribe's dance floor.
Arnaud D another producer from Lyon on the rise follows up with two takes, one deeper mix very much on the atmospheric tip and one drum mix aswell showing his versatility. N'Dinga Gaba and Filipe Narciso, from the USA and Portugal respectively round off a very impressive remix package.
Djeff hails from Angola but it was in Lisbon that he got his first taste of house music after visiting Bauhaus club in Estoril, a city on the coast of Lisbon. He got hooked on djing from the age of 15, fascinated by the way the resident dj went out playing his set and soon bought his first mixer and used two Discman's to mix between tracks!
In 2002, after attending a djs course at the Scala Club in Lisbon his talent came through quickly and before long he was playing at many clubs in the city. Djeff now holds down a busy dj schedule playing at clubs across the globe from big gigs of thousands of people in his home town in Angola and South Africa aswell regular trips to Europe.
In 2008 Djeff finished his Graphical Arts & Design degree and decided to go live in Luanda, Angola where he resides now. There he has his own TV show every Saturday.. He also began musical production working closely with his good friend DJ Silyvi, releasing their first single. "Canjika", in 2010 on Pandora Records.
The guys went onto produce four tracks for Nulu Records in the States and also further tracks for Offering Recordings and Soulgasm Music casting Djeff further into the spotlight as a young producer to watch in 2012.
Last year Djeff set up his own label Kazukuta Records which has a number of exciting release planned for 2012 showcasing new artists Silyvi, Homeboyz, Filipe Narciso and from Portugal Alpha.
You can also catch him live on the radio weekly on wednesday nights on QH Radio from 2100-2200pm. www.qhradio.nl.

NYSoul NYS015 - release date: Feb/01/2012...
The talented trio of Claudio Mansur, Alexandre Zee and Edround aka Brazillian Soul Crew (B.S.C) offer up their first release for NY Soul and they have recruited the sultry tones of Jessi Colosante for vocal duties.
As the name suggests B.S.C hail from Brazil, Taubate to be exact a small city 80 miles N.E of Sao Paolo. The guys have had tracks released on various labels including Conya Records, Symple Soul, Nulu, Grooveland, DIN Recordings and they have completed remixes for Mutate Music, Home Recordings, Liberate Rec, MSM, Lunatic Jazz.
What You Do To Me has a jazzy latin vibe with sublime Rhodes and piano keys with a gorgeous acoustic guitar solo. Jessie adds her laidback vocal to complete the track.
The remixes come courtesy of Boddhi Satvha and Rob Lamont.
Boddhi originally hails from the Central African Republic but now resides in Belgium where he put his hand to some glorious productions over the last few years, with tracks released on Vega Records, Yoruba Records, 157 Shelter Records, Seasons Limited, Shack Music, Atal, S.E.E.D Recordings and Boddhi's own label Offering Recordings.
Boddhi has also remixed for some of the worlds top labels as well including Yellow Productions, BBE, Yelloworange and many more. His style as you would expect is in an Afro vein with complex beat programming and afrocentric melodies. He is well travelled DJ as well, with gigs all around the world.
In 2012 we will finally see Boddhi Satva's album 'Invocation' released on Vega records, a piece of music the house scene has been patiently waiting for.
For Boddhi Satva's remix he slams his own imprint on to the release, with squelchy analogue pads, deep chords and Boddhi Satva's always on point beat production.
Next up on remix duties is a relative new comer to production and DJing, Rob Lamont. Originally from the USA but now based in Brighton, Rob is a professional multi-instrumentalist, performing in various bands an theatre projects as well as composing for film, stage and his own funk band Joymask.
Rob's remix is a down tempo groove with some great funk elements, live bass and melodic keys.
