Technique critics behold: "The Evancho Technique"

Jackie sings. We listen and watch. We buy her CDs and DVDs and go to her concerts.

Millions of people are positively moved by her performances. And she uses the "Evancho Technique" of singing. So there you go. Nothing more to say.

I believe the producer of this year's Grammys was doing it for the first time. He's got a lot to learn about producing a truly interesting and exciting event. Maybe next year.

I'm a big fan of Jackie. But I have to say, of all the singers I've heard perform this piece, Mirusia sounds, to me, the most beautiful. Her voice and delivery is sublime. I only hope that Jackie will mature to this level someday soon.

@MrGilt2 I don't understand either. When I realized Jackie wasn't going to be on the Grammys...I didn't watch. Though I caught the very end when they ran the producer credits. All I could think is, what a goof the producer is. I believe this was his first time.

Oh well, next year.

@JasonDuika I agree with you Jason. And while I'm not particularly worried now, about Jackie's voice, I hope, and I believe, that those in charge of Jackie's career will be diligent in making sure her voice is properly monitored and cared for.

Many people enjoy listening to Hayley. That's all that matters. Period!

@newtonscat Thanks for the suggestion on Noelle, Sabrina and Tasha. I listened to all of them. I thought Noelle was sweet...Sabrina is beautiful, and Tasha has a nice delivery. Their all different.

What a stunning performance for someone not at her best. Jackie just proved to all of us, that, true to the tradition of performance artists...the show must go on. What a trooper.

I'll bet all of the people in the audience didn't notice Jackie's chin wobbling, because they were mezmerized by the beauty and magic of her performance.

@keesvangulik127 What she's singing about doesn't matter. I'm sure most of us don't understand a word of what she's singing. What matters is how she sounds to us.

And she sounds amazing.

Personally, I think Jackie's voice is prettier. And to get technical for minute: I think she has more overall control. Just my opinion.

Excellent Paula. You missed just one. You may not have known about a 12 year old Czech singer named Patricia Janeckova. Being as objective as I can, I can state that she is 1st runner up to Jackie. Check her out. I think you'll agree. She's almost as good as Jackie. Almost.

Even though Jackie was reportedly under the weather for this performance...she was amazing. My wife has a phrase she likes to use to describe someone who has that certain something. She refers to the person as "the complete package". And that's what our little Jackie is...the complete package.

Lots of people post comments about who should be singing this piece and how they should be singing it. I don't understand Italian, and until I read where this song came from, I didn't know how it should be sung. All I know is...when Sissel sings it, it sounds wonderful to me.
