Dedicated to the Jackson Family and all Jackson fans. As I watched the memorial service on July 7, 2009 of our beloved King of Pop tears of sadness streamed down my face. Billions of people around the world look upon Michael Jackson as simply an entertainer. But as I watched the sullen faces of family and friends of the Jackson family, I was reminded that Michael Jackson was simply a man. I saw a loving father, brother, son, and friend. I knew this before, but it really hit home on that day. It made me think of the relationships with my own family. Am I being the best person I can be? How will I be remembered by those that really mattered? Whatever issues the Jackson family may have had in the past or present, hopefully they have resolved or come to an understanding. It's not the money or the fame or the name that matters. It's family that's important. God bless the Jackson family. My heart goes out to all of them, especially Michael's three beautiful children Paris, Prince Michael I and Prince Michael II (Blanket). And Michael wherever you are, I hope that you have found your peace and happiness at last. May your soul be at rest and may your spirit soar.

On "The O'Reilly Factor," Geraldo Rivera recalls spending a day with the late King of Pop and his children, and said that he was "an absolutely normal, competent loving dad."
To which O'Reilly asked Geraldo if he'd let his children sleep with Michael Jackson.
He also comments on Michael Jackson's daughter Paris saying goodbye to her father at his memorial service, and says some commentators who thought that moment was staged are "cynical".

What is Vitiligo? _ sources

What is Vitiligo Vitiligo (vit-ill-EYE-go) is a pigmentation disorder in which melanocytes (the cells that make pigment) in the skin are destroyed. As a result, milky white patches (depigmentation) appear on the skin in different parts of the body.
How Is Vitiligo Diagnosed? The diagnosis of vitiligo is made based on a physical examination, medical history, biopsy of skin tissue and other laboratory tests.
During court depositions in 1994, Michael Jackson's dermatologist Dr. Arnold Klein presented lab tests, legal medical documents and testified that in 1984, Michael was diagnosed with both vitiligo and a form of lupus which also causes skin disoloration
Any part of your body may be affected by vitiligo, depigmentation usually develops first on sun-exposed areas of your skin, such as your hands, feet, arms, face and lips. Although it can start at any age, vitiligo often first appears between the ages of 20 and 30.
About 0.5 to 1 percent of the world's population, or as many as 65 million people, have vitiligo. In the United States, 1 to 2 million people have the disorder. Vitiligo may also be hereditary; that is, it CAN run in families but MOST people diagnosed with vitiligo do NOT have a family history of the disorder.
How does Vitiligo effect people? While vitiligo is usually not harmful medically, its emotional and psychological effects can be devastating. People with vitiligo can experience emotional stress, particularly if the condition develops on visible areas of the body . Some people who have vitiligo feel embarrassed, depressed, or worried about how others will react. .Since Vitiligo is so noticeable and embarrassing to some patients, special cosmetics are great to conceal the blotches and create evenness of skin tone.
Vitiligo generally appears in one of three (3) patterns:
1. Focal. Depigmentation is limited to one or a few areas of your body.
2. Segmental. Loss of skin color occurs on only one side of your body.
3. Universal wide-spread across many or parts of your body. where pigment loss can involve MOST of the surface of your skin.
For some people, vitiligo spreads slowly, over many years. For other people, spreading occurs rapidly. additional depigmentation can follow periods of physical or emotional stress.
Vitiligo Treatments There is no cure for vitiligo. The main goal of treating vitiligo is to restore the function of the skin and improve the patient's appearance.. The choice of therapy depends on the number of white patches; their location, sizes, and how widespread they are. Plus how the skin reacts as treatments to restore pigment do NOT work for everyone.
Treatment may include covering smaller patches with long-lasting dyes, light-sensitive drugs in addition to ultraviolet light therapy, or corticosteroid creams. For people who do not respond or have vitiligo on more than 50 percent of their body, depigmentation May be recommeded as the best treatment option.
Depigmentation does not actually bleach the skin. Instead it works by inhibiting the skins pigment-producing cells, or melanocytes, which lie deep in the skin.
The procedure does NOT change ones race or character it is mearly a way for those who suffer from this disorder to even out their skin tone and take back some control over an incurable skin disorder.
people who have vitiligo should minimize sun exposure and use a sunscreen that provides protection from both the UVA and UVB forms of ultraviolet light. This will also minimizes tanning, which makes the contrast between normal and depigmented skin less noticeable.
