The tutorial you're showing isn't gel being applied to polish. It is gel being applied to nail wrap. I can't see this working, as you need to remove any shine from any service when applying UV Gel, as otherwise the gel will not stay and will lift due to not adhering to the service properly!!!

You're a guy. Most guys don't like these sort of movies anyway. Only a handful will watch it. It is mainly a chick flick in my opinion. So you are bound to find alot wrong with it. You just put that tip on straight after filing, without brushing off the dust. So now she will have trapped dust under the extensions...which is a BIG no no

You put the tips on flat, and not at an angle,which will result in there being a bubble between the natural nail plate and the tip, so it Will eventually lift off. You filed on the natural nail, and your not suppsed too. This will damage their nail plate.

Give it 4 or 5 days and they will start pinging off. You did not put on any primer before putting the gel on. Primer acts like an adhesive to make sure the gel sticks to your natural nail plate. Without this, the nails will start to pop off! As for the seam (stressline) not showing...yes it will ...

I'm a nail technician in Gel extensions and overlays, and this was very well done. Nice to see someone actually showing viewers the proper way to do this :)

You're not supposed to put the gel on right up to the proximal fold (Cuticle area) This will cause the gel to lift. A small gap should be left, when applying gels to the Nail plate!!

Those weird dent things as you put them, are called "Wells"

Oh My Word!!!! I'm a qualified nail Technician. If you can't tell the difference between Gel and Acrylic..you should not be showing anyone what needs to be done and how to do it. Also, if you are going to webcam users. Turn off what is playing in the background, seriously terrible.
