As I sit here following my score I can see Mahler as her was realizing he was leaving his beloved Alma, but that he was soon going to see his long missed daughter. (hence Kindertotenlieder and the "Tragic Symphonie") How can one not be moved by such powerful music as this! Long live Mahler!
