Muchas veces lo vi en aquellas mananas habaneras llegar con sus cuadernillos pedagogicos a los salones del Ballet Nacional de Cuba, una vez alli con todas sus alumnas ante las barras, el se dirigia a los pianistas y les pedia musica de calentamiento.....1,2,3,4

Su ojo atento a los pies, rodillas,...

Cecile est belle et j'aime bien son Odile, malgre qu'elle neglige souvent les en dehors classiques, cela est vrai......

Ses pirouettes a la seconde (les premieres) son tres belles.....mais pour la seconde fois elle

cede la pointe....Et cela se voit!..... D'habitude quand on veut depasser les lim...

Por mucho que se hable mal de ella y por mucho que no se la quiera desde el punto de vista politico, habra que reconocerle, por lo menos, que sin ella y por supuesto sin Fernando Alonso,

no hubiera habido Ballet de Cuba......Su nombre esta inscrito en el libro de la danza del mundo

y nadie podra ...

Hay a quienes les gusta ver las manchas del sol......Alicia es humana y podra tener defectos y

hasta opiniones politicas contrarias a las nuestras; pero eso no le resta valor como una gran

bailarina que fue.....

Su huella esta y estara presente en todos nosotros, especialmente en su Giselle y cua...

Josefina Mendez (Yuyi) fue y seguira en nuestro recuerdo la elegancia personificada en el arte

quintaesencial del Ballet..... La misma Maya Plisetskaya la elogiaba y en Viena los criticos la

llamaron la Nueva Fanny Elssler, para no decir mas....

Hay quienes aman el circo; pero ese es otro tipo de...

Aun recuerdo cuando en Paris en el ano 1966 Aurora se destaco brillantemente en el Teatro de

los Campos Eliseos con su Mirta (o Reina de las Willis) y el critico Olivier Merlin escribio:

"Estoy seguro que muy pronto esta Aurora encendera otra cosa que no sean los fuegos

fatuos....." Aurora, que...

La muy cacareada Margot Fonteyn nunca pudo bailar un CASCANUECES asi ni

siquiera cuando bailaba con David Blair ( en sus anos mozos).....

Aqui Alicia aparece con 62 anos con un estilo y una limpieza tecnica inigualables. Bravo Sra. Alonso!!!!! PRIMA BALLERINA ASSOLUTTA sin discusion....

Beautiful body, beautiful feet, slim legs.....technically she is fine, not too many

pirouettes, and the ones at the end of fouettes do not have any brilliance.....I do not see her as a Kitri she lacks of passion....

I prefer OSIPOVA....or Maria Alexandrova...THATS FIRE!!!!!!

I have met many jews in Cuba and they were always very good people.....

The Kaplans, The Jarmus, The Spatz, The Levys,The Mitranis, The Goodmans,

even The Pintos and they were nice families....

Mme Alonso est une legende au dela des limites de toute comparaison, je l'ai vue se

produire sur scene bien des fois..... Quelle danseuse etoile! quel gout...et quelle

elegance dans ses mou...

I have seen better but it does not mean that she is not good...

Her grand jetes, specially starting with the right leg, she shows the left in the air is

not too stretched out..... But Maya Plisetskaya did not have her technique and she

was a wonderful Kitri as well....

Russians are good at jumpin...

I have seen fouettes-pirouettes many times in my life but Viengsay's gives the impression that she challenges gravity..... and she does them so slowly

"au ralenti" like french people say.....What a wonderful ballerina, she is technically

superb.....!!!!!

Long live the ballet tradition of Cuba......

This film was taken in 1968 by Eduardo Manet at Cubanacan Studios and I am one of dancers appearing in the back, at the end of Alicia's Black Swan.....

She was 48 years old and almost blind; at that age most dancers are already

retired....Maya Plisetskaya, Margot Fonteyn, Lupe Serrano, Maria Tall...

Who are these young girls?

I have the impression that they are members of a ballet school.....they are too young to the impersonation of the FOUR GREAT........

They have to grow up, live and mature.....

I think Tamara is good in many ways but sometimes her mouvements are unfinished....In her interpretation I can see a lot of Russian......She is Odile without

any doubt but in my opinion she could do a lot better....Anyway I love her.....

I have seen great Don Quijotes, including Maya's, Alonso's etc.... This is a ballet

for Allegro ballerinas.... Viengsay has a very personal Kitri's interpretation more

athletic and her TEMPO is slower but never dull; her technique is amazing and

she does not need a FAN to enhance the character of...

L'ecole Francaise de Ballet au plus haut niveau.... Quelle elegance!!!! Quel style

impeccable et precis....!!!!!

C'est la vieille France qui se produit sur scene en deux jeunes talents....
