I'm a middle-aged, 'techie-type' of guy who refuses to 'get old'. I cannot remember a time in my life when I was not intensely curious about how things work & why they work as they do. As a child, my most oft-repeated question was "Why?" It still is.

I believe in following your dreams. I believe that overall, life should be fun. Take the time to savor and enjoy life, rather than rush through - it's short enough as it is. I also believe that work should be fun. If it isn't - either make it so, or look for something else to do. Life is too short to accept anything less.

I was born & raised in Warroad, MN USA - nearly the northern-most part of the contiguous 48 US states. I grew up in an aviation family - my dad retired after 37+ years of flying with over 33,500 logged flight hours - flying P-47 Thunderbolts in the Po Valley (Italy) during WWII; crop-dusting; and as a game warden bush-pilot for the MN DNR. I spent many, many hours flying with my dad, and he started teaching me how to fly when I was 9 years old.

Watching my dad live his childhood dream of becoming a fighter pilot and then making a life-long career as a game-warden bush pilot - made a lasting impression on me.
