I can imagine that they had to do quite a few takes of this scene due to the actors breaking down in laughter. Arkin looks like he's trying hard to keep his composure, especially when the general gives senor pepe a drink. This has to be one of the most underrated comedies of all time.

Nice. I remember this movie from when I was in college. You had to be somewhat trashed to watch it. One of my beer buddies actually made a mask like that and went as Hershell for Halloween. Needless to say, nobody got it.
