@chanceie12 It took me four attempts to get through it. That's a rare thing for me but it is just boring.

The ending of Brokeback Mountain, it destroys me each time. Also the ending of Schindler's List, "I could have got more". That line shows just how much each individual human life meant to him. The other, The Shawshank Redemption, Brookes, SPOILER! when he commits suicide. That scene always gets me.

Kubrick's Napoleon and A.I. Sadly, he passed before he could work on it but it would have been incredible to see him work on it and plus, it was made in 2001.

For me, when I watched The Godfather, age 10. I'd seen films like Toy Story, Halloween, Texas Chainsaw and a few others but Godfather really made me fall in love with cinema. Plus the trilogy was on over a weekend so that weekend changed my life.

@uhf7618x They get it wrong now more than ever. I don't think they have made the right choice for the past 15 years. Ypu're right that before they made a lot of mistakes, Scorsese, Kubrick, Hitchcock and Shawshank but they used to be better than they have been recently.

Where to start? Kubrick never won, which he should have for Dr. Strangelove, 2001 and A Clockwork Orange . The Shawshank Redemption was nominated but didn't win, instead it was beaten by Forrest Gump. Shawshank makes nearly EVERY 10 best film lists, normally making the top 3. But The Dark Knight ...
