@Ackles4life If you watch the movie I believe there's an implication that Dr. Manhatten travelled back in time to create himself, and presumably guide himself through the dangerous early stages too. So the accident was no accident, and it couldn't have happened to just anybody.

The Family Guy takeoff on this video was hilarious. The funniest part for me was the implication that the events portrayed in the video were not a one off: apparantly this boy has been sucking people into his pencil cartoon world for decades at least! :-)

@laurelbush Thanks for that. I know that Lean's "Lawrence of Arabia" was filmed in large part in Almeria, Spain. I didn't know that Dr. Zhivago was filmed in Spain too. The links between Lawrence and the Leone westerns are quite interesting.

Breathtaking soundtrack it certainly is, but Chi Mai was not in fact original to Le Professionnel. Chi Mai was first used in Maddalena, a decade earlier.

@luiscosta49 I agree with your sentiments, but beware: the movie "Flash" was a homage to the old Flash Gordon live action cinema serials of the 1930s, so it's hard to know how much the cheesiness of some of its special effects (and acting!) was deliberate!

I was in school when this was first a hit, and I remember my music teacher telling me, "it's a wonderful song, but they could never do that twice. You'll never hear from this band again"!
