@Spark02ify another example to illustrate my point: the valois burgundy fought against the french (captured jean d`arc at compiegne for example). nowadays this area is part of france. so in your logic you would call this "french military victory over france" or what ?

@bfine123 thats typical, italian food is always reduced to pasta and pizza, and maybe pasta was stolen from china (by marco polo ?). but there is a great variety of delicious meals, fish, cheese... As austrian often spending my holidays in italy i always wonder why there is such a hype over fren...

what i like about french military: they not only have it, but also use it, in civil wars like cote dìvoir...... while other european nations just send a message of "determined protest" or something.what i don`t like: nuclear weapons. they should have left mururoa atoll much earlier.

@swordsmen76 I don`t deny, that the m1 was the best infantry rifle of ww2 (or at least the best fielded in sufficient numbers, there are other quality semi-autos as well, soviet svt-40 or german g41/g43). my point is, infantry rifles were not the deciding weapon of ww2. to sum it up, it was imho ...

lee-enfields are so cool. but i am somehow shocked about the connection between the butstock and the rest of the rifle. looks somehow instable and prone to break, when appliing some more force, like when trying to crack a door open....

are the any accountings for butstocks broken away in wartime ...

some questions i still have: is it possible to chamber a bullet and uncock the action afterwards, leaving the round chambered, and can you cock it again then, or do you have to remove the bullet and pull the trigger ?
