Eric Fleming was trail boss "Gil Favor" from the western series "Rawhide." He overcame a horrible young life to become a wonderful adult and actor.

I loved watching all the episodes of Rawhide as a wee boy, Eric epitomised strength, sincerity and he had a great aura of presence, a very handsome rugged man who had a great voice and exuded ruggedness. A great loss, most tv actors nowadays couldn't lace his boots.
