He finishes like a train, fastest man in the field , but you can't start 100 like that and beat in-form guys.

exactly! experienced timekeepers can't be compared to an electric time for accuracy. Times by people not skilled at using a stop watch can be up to a second out=so many variables. Heck, the distance may even be approximate.

liked this at the time but now I know Moody Blues version and it's not really a contest. The singer doesn't carry it off very well unfortunately.

Russell Morris, however, does a fine recording of it on his recent album with Brian Cadd recorded in QLD 2 years ago

yep, and then the Aussies got it, made it 4.4 litres and made sure the cooling system worked before dropping it into the ill-fated P76. A nice motor though by 1970's standards

better wear protection don't cha think, especially if you're gonna spend so much time on the wrong side of the roadon one wheel..

silly! the writers can be trusted and even many Jewish historians who hated what he represented spoke of his existence in their writings. Just so you know, there is lessw historical proof of Julius Caesar (but he's no threat to peoples' comfort)

this is IMO the best pop song of the era. The energy, Stevie's powerful vocals, the way it builds and crescendos.

The two Steves - Winwood (Spencer Davis Group) and Marriott were maybe the best vocalists of the era.

another great Aussie cover of a British song when we had that ban here on Brit music in 1970. There were many of them...anyone remember Dai Costello's version of Long and winding road, Liv Maesson's Knock Knock who's there etc?

Tony Burrows was so prolific.... a really good pop vocalist. Good old song although I agree the Aussie version by the Strangers (Terry Walker vocals) was probably superior, certainly a raunchier voice. Look up "Strangers, My Melanie" and judge for yourself.

had a 2001 example and loved it for touring. The comment about showing it who's boss is quite right. I still do an occasional ride with the guys who have GSX1400s even though I'm now 3 bikes removed.

I did a 1000 kms in a day no sweat on that bike.
