Hanna Barbera action cartoons were at their best 1964-1967, part of my 'wonder years'.

After some cajoling and coniving my Mom, she got me a pair of PF Flyers and that magic ring. After showing it off and clowing around with it barely a couple hours, I eventually lost the magnifier in my front lawn. It taught me a lesson as a 7 year old on taking care of things I wanted so badly.

Aside from the first Hot Wheels 30 second commerical I saw in '68. The first two featuring the Super Charger are the best. The up close filming of the cars zipping by, stop action freeze frame, the cool jazzy music thumping bassline and flowing/pumping horns and edited overall execitement along ...

Those raspy and deep voices of the Super Charger commericals are perfect. The Mattel marketing department did excellent job wetting the appetites of millions boys (including me) "make 'em go wild" or "in hot out hotter" for Hot Wheels. The cool jazzy music is on point as well.
