9/11 United Airlines flight 93 Contrary to the fraudulent claims advanced by conspiracy lunatics, United Airlines, flight 93, was not shot down; it crashed after a struggle in the cockpit between the terrorists who hijacked the plane and the passengers who took heroic action attempting to re-take control of it. Also, United flight 93 did not land safely in Cleveland, as other segments of the conspiracy theory camp have tried to imply. It didn't crash because "NORAD stood down."

9/11: The Pentagon Similar to the conspiracy theories surrounding the World Trade Center Twin Towers, and building 7: there are equally moronic and controversial claims made about the attack on the Pentagon. Mainly: the govt. ordered a missile fired at the Pentagon, to make it appear as though a commercial airliner had impacted, and then evidence was supposedly to have been faked and planted afterward. The preponderance of evidence, of course, proves that a plane--American Airlines, flight 77, a Boeing 757--struck the Pentagon that day. Such evidence was used in the subsequent trial of and convicted terror suspect Zacharias Moussaoui, a member of Al-Qaeda: the terrorist organization who carried out the attacks on that day.

Thermite and 9/11 It has been claimed by the conspiracy theorists (who claim that 9/11 was not a terror attack) that the buildings were brought down or 'felled' by a controlled demolition, using an incendiary known as Thermite, Thermate, or so-called nano-thermite. All of these (variations of basically the same thing) are attractive to the imaginations of the kook mind, because they're mysterious (in their minds) and they flock to such claims, because, in their mind, it makes them the insiders "who know what is really happening and have the power to stop it." The Thermite/Thermate/nano-thermit<wbr>e claims are all hype.

While talking to conspiracy theorists is not really a healthy endeavor, I've found out some interesting things in so doing.

When people keep asking the same questions (which have been answered even if they don't like or disagree with said answers) and they keep asking them anyways: this is one of the biggest clues that they are not really interested in any kind truth or understanding of any kind. I have seen them post the same questions over and over and over again, and answers - the same answers - have been given over and over and over again. Yet they don't offer and counter-argument or a new, fact-based rebuttal of any kind in response. It appears that "truth"ers don't even really buy into their own claims and hype. They are merely out for attention and their failure to achieve a single result or even unite under a single theory (out of the more than 100 that they try to advance), proves so.
