@holyspiritgirl111..Regarding verse (5:17)They have certainly disbelieved who say that Allah is Christ, the son of Mary..and that verse is to rebut the christians who believe in the diety of Christ...We as muslims belief in Jesus,love and adore him..BUT we dun believe that he is God,son of God etc..He is one of the Mighty Prophet in the Quran...The dotrine of Jesus divinity in christianity is being refute by God so that the christians will come back in worshipping in The One Lord that Jesus himself preached"Hear O Israel,The Lord OUR God is One..

@holyspiritgirl111..If you have read the Quran as you claimed you should have read this verse too that is the in same chapter,(8:61)And if they incline to peace, then incline to it [also] and rely upon Allah . Indeed, it is He who is the Hearing, the Knowing...so please mdm..so please miss,again i beg you not to take verses out out context from the Quran..

A battle in which the pagans of Makkah traveled more than 200 miles to Madinah with an army of about 1000 to destroy Muslims. Prophet Muhammad (peace be on him) and fellow Muslims had suffered severe persecutions and torture for 13 years in the city of Makkah. And now that they had fled Makkah and found a sanctuary in the city of Madinah, they were once again threatened. Muslim Army was only about 300 strong. God Almighty gave the order to Muslims to fight to defend their lives and faith. The enemy came to them with the intent to kill Muslims. It was a war to defend themselves and their Faith. It was a war imposed upon Muslims.

@holyspiritgirl111..60:8-9 Allah does not forbid you respecting those who have not made war against you on account of [your] religion, and have not driven you forth from your homes, that you show "Birr" with them and deal with them justly; surely Allah loves the doers of justice. Allah only forbids you respecting those who made war upon you on account of [your] religion, and drove you forth from your homes and backed up [others] in your expulsion, that you make friends with them, and whoever makes friends with them, these are the unjust. Please dun take verses out of context to suit your bigot mind..

@ holyspiritgirl111..It was revealed in certain historic circumstances, in which there was a war between the infant Islamic state on different occasions on four different fronts: the Romans, the Persians, the pagans of Arabia, and the Jews of Madinah. So, the historic context of the revelation of this verse is a situation of war between Muslims and the People of the Book (Jews, internally in Madinah, and Christians, through a Roman crusade). So, yes, Muslims were not allowed to make friends with the enemies who were fighting them and wishing to eliminate them from the face of the earth.

@ holyspiritgirl111..common christian argument.saying they have read the Quran..Miss!!!if you have read the Quran then why do you take the verses out of context and make it look violent???...if you have read it then you should know that the verses that you gave me is not about whole christian and jews in general..eg(5:51)its about certain christians and jews who wants destructions and wipe out the whole muslims community during the time of the Prophet..cont>>>

Quran 5:51 "O ye who believe! Take not the Jews and the Christians for friends. They are friends one to another. He among you who taketh them for friends is one of them." Quran 8:12 "Instill terror into the hearts of the unbelievers; smite above their necks and smite all their finger-tips off them." Quran 5:72 "They are surely infidels who say 'God is the Christ, the Messiah, the son of Mary." You don't find anything wrong with this in the Quran? I have more scriptures like this.
