30 LONG AND BITTER YEARS HAVE NOW PASSED SINCE THE BRITISH GOVERNMENTS UNLAWFUL AND COWARDLY ACTS LED TO THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE H-BLOCK PROTESTS. AS WE KNOW SOME OF THE BRAVEST & FINEST REPUBLICAN VOLUNTEERS IRELAND HAS EVER PRODUCED, SACRIFICED THEIR OWN LIVES TO SHOW THE BRITISH ESTABLISHMENT THEY COULD NEVER BE BROKEN, IN PHYSICAL BODY OR SPIRIT. BUT MANY MORE THAN THE TEN BRAVE MEN HAVE SUFFERED THROUGH THIS EPIC BATTLE AND TO THEM AND FOR THEIR MEMORIES I SAY TIOCFAIDH AR LA - BEIR BUA!!!

WITHOUT THEIR DETERMINATION AND COURAGE WE WOULD MOST LIKELY STILL BE AT WAR. MANY STILL VIEW THAT WE ARE. BUT THIS YEAR SHOULD BE ONE OF CONTEMPLATION AND CELEBRATION OF ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT DEFINING MOMENTS IN IRISH HISTORY.
