I remember Don Schuster when he worked at WWWW "W 4" in the early 1970s. How many of you Detroiters from that time remember Ira J. Cook who worked with Schuster at "W 4". Those were the glory days of Detroit radio!

The year was1970 and I remember hearing this great song on CKLW Windsor-Detroit.

I'm a life time Metro Detroiter and remember Pat St. John's early DJ days at CKLW, WKNR and WRIF. I can vividly recall when Pat was fresh out of high school and landed his first plum job at CKLW doing the all night show there. One of the best DJs in my opinion!

The 1960s was a great memorable time for easy listening artists like Al Martino, Bert Kaempfert and others. It's sad that we no longer have artists like this any more.

A great instrumental song from my childhood. It was a time when we had some great music, not the garbage we have now.

When Jerry Murad's Harmonicats recorded "Peg O' My Heart" in 1947, it was an "oldie" of 34 years! Charles Harrison originally recorded "Peg O' My Heart" in 1913 and it was a #1 song for 14 weeks of that year.
