Only the Porsche 962 used a 6 cylinder engine, Group C prototypes had a big variety of engines but most were high displacement engines.

Also future F1 regs have nothing to do with this, this is about Le Mans and current LMPs still provide awesome racing.

Nope, not even close actually, late 90's GT1 cars were stupidly fast and a lot of them were basically prototypes and consistently outclassed the actual prototypes.

Also, the current GT1 class was GT2 back then.

Depends on which iteration of the Zonda we're talking about, I reckon the road going CLK-GTR would probably destroy every Zonda aside from the newer F and Cinque. A fun fact: the non street-legal Zonda R uses the same engine as the CLK-GTR race car.

Except for the fact that the Zonda R is a full-blown racecar and is not street legal.

It's also alot closer to the GT1 class cars that raced in Le Mans in the late 90's (it even has the engine of one) than to an F1.

It would be faster than the LM, since the LM is a road car and this is a race car and was never meant for the road but for the GT1 category on Le Mans, the F1 GTR is the car it was meant to compete with. Shame they never raced it (mostly Porsche's fault).
