    Everly Brothers-Cathy's Clown (1960) Live HQ

    The Everly Brothers sing their No hit from 1960 "Cathy's Clown". The song was on the British Hit Parade for 18 weeks. High Quality Picture.

    MrPJ1954 MrPJ1954 commented:

    @justmusicandme I was about to make that same observation! I don't know about the lead guitarist, but I think that Jerry Allison is playing drums. (He played drums on "Til I Kissed You" and I think he was featured on some of the Everly Brothers' other hits.) I'm more sure that Joe B. Mauldin is p...

    Buddy Holly - That'll Be The Day - Live on Sunday Night at the London Palladium (2nd March, 1958)

    MrPJ1954 MrPJ1954 commented:

    As much credit as Buddy Holly along with the other early music heroes get, they are still underrated. We tend to forget that they were the trailblazers and innovators.

    Check out some of the music instruction books that are available. How many were available in the 1950's? I rest my case.

    @RaananVolesPianist

    Regardless of whether or not Pete needed to go, The Beatles definitely did him wrong. Brian Epstein was tasked by The Beatles to "do the dirty work" of firing Pete.

    Allegedly, Epstein put it this way: "Pete, I have some bad news for you. The boys want you out and it's alread...

    I'd suggest music that is more traditional...but "I Will" just might be the start of new traditional (i.e., real marriage such as the union between a man and a woman) wedding traditions.

    "I Will" is a great song! (It was originally recorded over 44 years ago.)

    @spacepatrolman

    I'm convinced that some of the studios used for TV broadcasts have lousy acoustics and that some of the producers were too cheap to use equipment that could broadcast a musical performance with even half-way-decent fidelity.
