Just curious...what happened to this ump? Was he disciplined or fired? From this and the other videos I've seen related to this game, it looked like he was completely incompetent.

Joe West and his crew are a complete joke. I hate the White Sox, but Joe West and his cohort Angel Hernandez are the two worst umpires in baseball. I remember seeing the replay of this and it was absolutely ridiculous. What's more ridiculous is that MLB refuses to do anything about it.

The third base coach was standing right next to the umpire and immediately went crazy. That tells me the ump may well have missed this call.

@MrOrigi I received a comment from someone named Pamela claiming to be the actual singer. It's very possible she did sing this. I do know that Jimmy Hart and Jim Johnston wrote, produced and either performed or co-performed many of the WWE themes of the late 80s and early 90s.

This hit was late, high, cheap and totally unnecessary. Rome deserved the penalties, and he deserves the suspension he got.

These guys will be huge if they keep it together and keep improving. They have great charisma, are good singers, and have a good look. Their vocals have gotten way better since the audition. With Simon's backing, they'll be a very big act soon!

This is actually pretty impressive. He's 3 years old, singing songs in a language that isn't his own, getting a lot of the words right, and is reasonably close to being on key. And he's doing all of it in front of an audience. Way to go, little guy!
