I've always been interested and involved in chemistry, science and physics. It's the only thing that's allowed us to aspire to greatness. The opposite is religion. It gave us the dark ages, slowed humanity down and created war. Finally some scientists managed to break free of the religious stranglehold to prove their theories. What troubled the church was proof. The Earth was no longer the centre of the universe. Eventually, Father Angelo Secchi, a member of the church discovered spectroscopy, and that the stars were all Suns themselves.
Science is what has brought us to the moon and back. We've visited other planets and even broken free of the Solar System. Religion could not have done that.
Conspiracy theories are a plague of uninformed ideas based on bad science, logic and observation. It's fine to question, but not irrationally. To keep myself occupied I offer ideas based on all my knowledge of the 3 sciences. I was surprised when I was physically threatened because I gave irrefutable answer. Conspiracists howl and curse, the answers are in front of their face yet they continue to threaten, abuse, obfuscate and edit evidence, with bizarre theories.
Apollo missions:
One of their grand theories is that Apollo missions orbited the Earth for 8 days while film footage was being faked. With Russia having launched Luna 15, a soil scooper 3 days prior to Apollo 11, they were tracking it and AP11 via Jodrell Bank radio telescope in England. Australia was retransmitting video via Parkes to California. With all these countries watching, some 450,000 people involved with Apollo, Russia would be first to complain. You can't hide Apollo missions in orbit without being detected. How would all these telescopes be receiving signals only from the moon?
To this argument, some have suggested extra satellites in orbit in front of the dishes. They would be detected at launch and in front of the dishes. Some say you can bounce a signal off the moon. That's completely unreliable which is why we use geosats and not the also unreliable ionosphere.
Further, the waving flag debate still rages. The only time I see it wave is when it's handled, or recently so. Some go as far as to point at incomprehensible and blurry shadows, claim them to be eyelets for the rocks to be moved about the set. The same guy points at some random shape in the dust and recommends it's a discarded coke bottle! Some conspiracists even fake video to sell, as salacious argument on this topic is and, a large number of uninformed people will buy. Bart Sibrel is one of them and has been caught a few times. David Percy is another. They both crop and edit video footage, add a pinch of misdirection and they've got a money spinner. A sad legacy for all those who worked 15 hour days for years, risking their lives to discover the Moon's geology.
911 conspiracy:
I've heard just about everything from this crowd, 99% of it untenable or just plain crazy:
Thermite, nano-thermite, explosives, missiles, planes packed with thermite or missiles, no planes used but edited live news footage, holographic planes, UFO's and lasers from satellites.
Their specious reasoning makes me wonder what they're teaching in schools these days. How do you manage to pack a building with explosives or thermite without anyone noticing? All that det cord would be found in the rubble and thermite doesn't explode, which is why they're now claiming nano-thermite - which doesn't exist. Their reasoning is they (always from an eminent scientist in their eyes) say discovered in rubble were traces of rust, aluminium and sulphur deposits.
The rust would come from the steel trusses, aluminium from window frames, 120 ton jetliner, and molten steel and sulphur from the rescue workers cutting steel frames, not to mention all the plastic furniture, wood and computers.
Most people would pick up on that however now they (the eminent scientists) say they found 10 tons of nano-thermite. Just watch that number climb.
The first tower to fall was the second one hit. Reason being with more floors above and more weight, the fire didn't have to do as much work. The plane did enough damage already. Plenty of video around showing it slowly toppling into the damaged corner.
Unfortunately, just showing them what they've refused to see or understand is the heart of the problem. It's been some 8 years now and there's no credible paper trail of a government conspiracy. The government couldn't even keep a blowjob quiet for that long.
If they want to chase a conspiracy, speed traps and cameras are the best bet as they've never proven to save lives. That's from a Monash University study commissioned by the government. Failure to give way being the first on the list, with speed at number 16 on a list of some 20 factors. Strangely enough, the study returned with a recommendation for more cameras..
