Good point. I guess I just really like the bass playing and I think they'd be quite a bit less without. It's what makes me listen more than once and tap my foot.

I think it's that it is a very sentimental song aka cheesy, not necessarily production of musical value.

I like this song because it reminds me of a particular bar in a particular time and place.
